About us

Rock Valley Bible Church is a non-denominational church located in Loves Park, Illinois. We’d love for you to join us so we can get to know you, and we hope you find this page helpful to learn a little about us.

Vision

Rock Valley Bible Church exists for the purpose of:

ENJOYING HIS GRACE

We love the grace of God, which is at the heart of the gospel. God has redeemed us and saved us by His grace, not by our works. This fuels joy and humility in our lives.

EXTENDING HIS GLORY

God created us for His glory. Our mission is to extend His glory by making disciples locally and around the world. Joy in His grace motivates and empowers this mission.

Values

We believe in the power of the Word of God

We believe that the word of God is living and active so we preach the Bible expositionally (Hebrews 4:12-13).

We believe in the power of God,

We believe that with God all things are possible, so we embrace the doctrines of grace (Jeremiah 32:17).

And we believe in the power of the gospel

We believe it is the power of God to change everything about us, so we focus on the cross of Christ (Romans 1:16).

Vibe

grace

Rock Valley Bible Church cares about the grace of God. Therefore, when we gather corporately, the gospel is central to everything about our church. It is central to our liturgy, our preaching, and our interactions. Because we have been given grace, we seek to be gracious towards one another.

Family

Rock Valley Bible Church cares about the family of God. Because we have been adopted into God’s family we seek to treat each other as family by loving and serving one another in community. We seek to disciple one another and fulfill the “one anothers” of Scripture. As a church family we look for ways to stir up one another to love and good works. We also look for ways to encourage the many young families and children that make up the majority of our congregation.

Mission

Rock Valley Bible Church cares about living on mission. An outgrowth of this value is an atmosphere of service toward one another and our community. We have been given grace, in joy and love we seek to extend God’s glory to the ends of the earth. As we seek to make disciples of all nations we are committed to reflect that in our budget by moving towards fifty percent of our entire budget dedicated to adoption, local missions, and global missions.

Worship

Rock Valley Bible church cares about worship. As people who have been changed by the power of the Gospel, our whole lives are characterized by vibrant, joyful, whole-hearted worship. Therefore, our gatherings seek to engage and unify the congregation in Christ-centered worship. We are committed to praying, singing, and preaching the Word when we gather together corporately.
